ICASA and the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sign an international agreement for collaboration.

ICASA is reviewing the Customer Care Standards Regulations for Postal Services Licensees to improve service levels for all; and hereby invites all interested stakeholders to make their written submissions in respect of the Draft Amendment Regulations.

The Council of ICASA has resolved to review the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) COVID-19 National Disaster Regulations (The Regulations) and extend the temporary radio frequency spectrum assignments issued to licensees for another two months (from 1 April 2021 to 31 May 2021).

ICASA has considered the detailed reasons for judgement in respect of the interdict granted to Telkom and e.tv, as it relates to the Invitation To Apply (“ITA”) for high-demand International Mobile Telecommunications (“IMT”) spectrum, as well as the ITA for the WOAN and reaffirms its position thereof.
