Consumer Advisory Panel

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has established a Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) to advise it on all consumer-related issues within broadcasting, telecommunications and postal services. The panel is tasked with, among others, reaching out to consumers, so as to understand their concerns, recommend what   consumer protection research to be undertaken, and promote consumer interests.

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has established a Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) to advise it on all consumer-related issues within broadcasting, telecommunications and postal services. The panel is tasked with, among others, reaching out to consumers, so as to understand their concerns, recommend what   consumer protection research to be undertaken, and promote consumer interests.

The CAP, comprising of 11 members, nominated through a public process, serves the general South African public including persons with disabilities, women, youth, senior citizens and people living in under-serviced areas with regards to ICTs.
