ICASA has approved the amendment of the ICT COVID-19 National State of Disaster Regulations in order to extend the validity period of the temporary assignment of radio frequency spectrum (“temporary spectrum”) to no later than 31 March 2021 and prescribe fees for the extended use of the spectrum

ICASA is assessing alternative methods for monitoring and enforcement. In this regard, the Authority is embarking on a series of online inspections [investigations and evaluations] to ensure compliance with regulations and the law.
