ICASA reopens applications for community radio and television broadcasting services

ICASA will reopen applications for both community radio and community television services. The new Invitation To Pre-Register (ITP-R) for community radio services will be issued no later than 15 December 2021. While the new ITP-R for community television services will be published in April 2022.

ICASA will be re-opening applications for Class Community Sound Broadcasting Services and related Radio Frequency Spectrum Licences for purposes of providing community sound broadcasting services, following failure to qualify by applicants in the previous process. The new invitation will be announced later in the year.
