Pretoria- The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa has published the schedule for Political Election Broadcasts (PEBs) for the 2026 Local Government Elections. The PEB broadcast period will run from Sunday, 4 October 2026 to Sunday, 1 November 2026 on designated SABC radio and television services. 

The schedule sets out the allocated PEB slots for political parties and independent candidates, with each participating service allocated 12 PEB slots per day and each PEB limited to a maximum duration of 40 seconds. Political parties and independent candidates are required to comply with the applicable requirements for the submission and broadcasting of PEBs.
